IB Physics – Topic D.2 · Fields

D.2Coulomb's law (extension)

Syllabus section: Electric and magnetic fields

Coulomb’s law for the force between point charges: F = kq₁q₂/r². Extension material — it goes beyond the Cambridge IGCSE 0625 core, but follows naturally from 17.3 Electric fields and is standard groundwork for AS/A Level and AP Physics.

Coulomb’s law for point charges, F = Q₁Q₂/(4πε₀r²), including resultant forces from several charges.
